Huawei Smartwatch designs
My role: Chief Designer and Vice President, Huawei Consumer + Individual Contributor
At Huawei, my UX division was responsible for the full ecosystem of Huawei Consumer, including wearables, both the talkband and smart watches.
Born in Europe and raised and educated in Switzerland, I’m familiar with the tradition of Swiss watch design and its perfection. Therefore, I know how important it is to embrace this quality and standard when designing digital devices. As with EMUI, our wearables team got its inspiration from nature and captured the starry sky for the motion watch face for the GT2.
Many ‘nos’ for one yes. The team created many versions and directions until a few were picked for the final release.
